A car accident is always scary, even more so when drivers and passengers suffer injuries. Even if there are no obvious or life-threatening injuries that are noted, it’s important to seek proper medical attention following a car accident to make sure everyone truly is okay. In cases like one recent car accident in Tennessee, injured parties may want to consult with an experienced attorney to seek damages.
When a driver in Tennessee stopped to allow a pizza delivery vehicle to exit a parking lot, no one likely anticipated what would happen next. As the pizza driver pulled out onto the road, he drove into the path of another oncoming vehicle. The oncoming vehicle was driven by a 28-year-old woman who had three children in the car. The ages of the three children were one, six and seven.
When the vehicle driven by the woman struck the pizza delivery vehicle, it rotated to the right and ended up resting in the left lane of the eastbound highway. However, the woman’s vehicle continued into the westbound lane and collided with another vehicle driven by a 61-year-old man.
The 27-year-old pizza delivery driver, as well as the woman and three children, were all taken to a nearby hospital following the crash. The woman driver was later said to be in stable condition. No information was made available about the condition of the children who were in the car at the time of the accident or about the driver of the third vehicle. The pizza delivery driver was released from the hospital.
